Listening & Leadership Series

YP NLP Brews and Views

The Young PAP National Youth Listening & Leadership Series, branded as Brews & Views, is a new nationwide initiative that seeks to engage young Singaporeans through meaningful conversations within their own communities.

Through informal coffee sessions held across the island, youths will have the opportunity to discuss issues that matter to them, share their perspectives, and connect directly with party leaders, party activists and fellow Young PAP members. Beyond listening to the aspirations and concerns of young Singaporeans, the series aims to identify, inspire, and develop the next generation of leaders by creating pathways for young people to contribute, serve, and play a greater role in shaping Singapore’s future.

The sessions will be organised on an alternate-month basis across different districts, allowing for sustained engagement and deeper community connections. The inaugural Brews & Views session will be held in August, marking the start of a nationwide conversation with young Singaporeans.

YP Leaders

Young Leaders’ Programme (YP-YLP)

20 pax • Twice a month • Over 3 months

The Young PAP Young Leaders’ Programme (YP-YLP) prepares current and future YP chairpersons to lead a political movement with clarity, courage, and conviction. This is an introductory programme for new leaders that develops the individual across three core dimensions: self, team, and politics.

The YP-YLP is a leadership forge for YP Chairpersons who can organise people, hold the ground, and carry the movement forward.

Self

First, participants will deepen their sense of self-leadership. Through reflection and leadership frameworks, they will clarify their values, motivations, strengths, and purpose as political leaders.

Team

Second, participants will strengthen their ability to lead teams. They will learn to build trust, manage conflict, shape team culture, and mobilise volunteers with empathy, discipline, and resolve.

Politics

Third, participants will be grounded in the political work of leadership. They will develop a firm understanding of PAP’s policy foundations, the trade-offs behind public decisions, and the arguments needed to explain them clearly. They will also be challenged to step beyond familiar spaces by walking the ground in an opposition ward. Learning to listen seriously, engage respectfully, and carry the movement’s convictions with steadiness.

Post-Programme

Serve as active mentors after graduation, directly supporting and steering the next generation batch of incoming leaders through the framework lifecycle.
